Another acrylic painting. I like getting messy. I used techniques from a book called Creative Wildfire. It’s one of my favorite books on the shelf as it concentrates on using anything and everything to get a desired effect. I used glue, salt and a palette knife. I really wanted to use a 3″ paint brush too but that is actually something I don’t have in my collection of brushes *le gasp*. I used an inch brush instead. Read more…

Third project was a crochet purse. This was suppose to be a mini storage bin. I didn’t like how it was coming out. It was also a very boring pattern because the shape wasn’t immediately obvious. So, I changed it. Read more…

With how trying the last week was with being sicker than snot in a hand basket, I switched gears and did some painting. Nothing fancy, I’m not a trained traditional artist. I just like playing with color. More importantly, I love abstract. Read more…

I apologize for the lack of posts. I’ve been sicker than sick this week. I haven’t even made it to bootcamp. Tomorrow though, I’m hoping to get there as I’m starting to feel better and I think the fluid in my ears is finally dissipating. Well now, on to more exciting things.

Originally, my goal was to finish the quilt I started back in September. But after piecing it together, I realized that machine quilting the pieces together was not happening. I have to stitch it by hand as my sewing machine is not capable of dealing with that much bulky fabric. It’s now sitting in a quilting hoop, pinned and ready to be finished. Read more…
